Security and Locking Safest solution
The Highest Level of Security
Shipping containers are constructed of solid steel, and even in their basic form, they are among the safest storage solutions available.
Basic Locking:
- Double-leaf steel doors
sturdy locking bars (vertical rods) - Option to use a padlock (up to 4, depending on the door type)
Recommended security measures:
lock box (lock cover) – protects the lock from being cut or pried open; new containers typically come with one, but it is not standard on older models
Location and Transportation Truck with crane / HIAB
Greater demands on transportation and handling. Shipping containers are heavy and bulky, so it is necessary to ensure adequate access to the destination.
Shipping and Assembly
- Truck transport (container chassis)
- Unloading using: → 20” size – hydraulic arm (HIAB) → 40” size – crane
- A firm, level surface is required; place the container on a level surface and support the corners to prevent the structure from warping
