1. Inspection and Maintenance of Hinges and Doors
- Regular lubrication of hinges and locks – minimizes wear and makes them easier to open
- Checking the door seals – prevents water and moisture from entering
- Checking that locks and security bars are working properly—especially on outdoor containers
2. A Stable and Level Surface
- Place on a level, paved surface (concrete, pavers, gravel)
- An uneven surface can cause the door to warp, deform the structure, and compromise the seal
- Regular checks for levelness are especially important for heavy-duty and older containers
3. Surface and Coating Care
- Check the painted surface regularly for any mechanical damage
- We recommend repairing minor scratches or damage to the paint as soon as possible with a suitable anti-corrosion paint to prevent corrosion
- For containers located in harsh environments (e.g., near the sea or in industrial facilities), we recommend performing visual inspections more frequently
4. Moisture Protection and Drainage
- Make sure water does not pool on the roof or around the doors
- Ensure that rainwater drains away from the container’s foundation and that stored items are adequately ventilated
- For converted containers or those in long-term use, gutters or a rainwater drainage system can be added
5. Handling Recommendations
- Use the appropriate equipment (crane, HIAB, forklift) when moving the load
- Never drag the container across an uneven surface to avoid damaging the undercarriage
